Is the balaclava waterproof?

The Tiivra balaclava uses a fabric that has moisture-wicking capabilities - basically if you sweat it wicks the sweat away and helps you stay comfortable and cool during the ride. It is a quick dry fabric but not waterproof.

A great product, though a tad bit overpriced.

I ride in Muscat where it tends to get pretty hot. This makes it easy to both wear earplugs underneath and slide a helmet over. It keeps sweat and heat under control. I’ve tried cotton products before, they’re heavier and absorb the sweat, this synthetic fabric is real sweat wicking, it doesn’t smell or blindly absorb sweat like cotton. A easy recommendation.

However, I would advise going for the plain and simple ones which are offered at a lower price. You don’t really see it under the helmet, but have to pay a premium for cool graphics like the heat seeker and viper ones. ₹890 is quite high.
