Care & Washing Instructions
Step 1: Preparation
- Remove all impact protectors
- Open all zippers, Velcro, and buckles
- Shake off surface dirt; use a soft brush if needed
Step 2: Choosing the Right Detergent
Preferred options (in order):
- Purpose-made tech wash
- Neutral, unscented liquid detergent
- Wool-specific liquid detergent
- Baby shampoo
Avoid:
- Granular or powdered detergents
- Strongly scented liquid detergents
Step 3: Soaking
- Mix one cap of detergent per garment in a bucket of lukewarm water
- Soak for at least 30 minutes
- Test water temperature with your fingers - if it's too hot for your skin, it's too hot for your gear
Step 4: Washing and Rinsing
- Gently scrub with your hands, focusing on greasy or grimy spots
- Repeat until clean
- Rinse thoroughly multiple times until no detergent remains
- Use a soft brush if needed; avoid harsh or abrasive brushes
Step 5: Drying and Storage
- Hang to dry in a cool, ventilated, shaded area
- Once dry, store in a cool, dry, and dust-free space
- Do NOT: wring, tumble dry, iron, bleach, or expose to direct sunlight while drying
